Iim a guy, and 16 obviously. everyone thinks im 13-14 and i want to look older. i weigh 130 and am 5′7. I have fat and am not cut, but i can see my ribs, not much muscle at all. What is a workout to make me look thicker and cut, that i can do with dumbbells, a barbell, pull up bar, and a treadmill. any suggestions? thanks

Open Question: Jogging on Treadmill - Better than walking?

Is this 30 minute workout ok… I hate running but I will jog in intervals with incline and feel the pain in my legs.

Warm-up - 10 lunges and 10 curtsey squats. Cardio - I jog for 15 minutes on the treadmill at 6.3, then for 5 minutes I go down to 5.0 but incline on 8 -10, then jog for another 5 minutes on 6.3 and incline on 2, then walk on incline 7-10 for the last 5 minutes.

I’ve just started this again after being slack for a while, so will I see results with this or not?

Although it says I have burnt 350 calories at the end, as I would if I walked it, I feel heaps more worn out jogging for the 20 minutes instead of walking it. Is my treadmill lying to me in calories lol?

Okay so I’ve eaten 800 calories or less a day with rigorous exercise (2 plus hours daily) for almost 2 years now. Starting this week, I am on a new diet plan, hoping to recover. I also quit the exercise I was doing before and now I jog an hour on the treadmill every day. This is what I will have today:
Before my workout: 1 Nature Valley Granola Bar
After workout: 1 protein bar, 6 slices lean chicken, 1 lowfat cheese

Lunch: wrap with one whole wheat tortilla, 7 slices lean turkey, 1 slice cheese, 1 tsp. honey mustard and an apple

Dinner: some sort of stir fry with chicken, rice, zucchini, mushrooms, onion, and broccoli. The chicken was sauteed lightly in olive oil and then added to the veggies and the rice was steamed.

After dinner I do 300 crunches

People on here have talked about your body being in starvation mode and storing everything as fat, but my mom is a nurse and has told me that fat is actually the LAST thing your body replenishes when you have been lacking in nutrition. She said that it first repairs organs and tissues and muscle. Is this true?

I want to gain weight in muscle, and stay toned. I’m really scared of making myself gain fat. If I follow this diet and exercise plan, will I be okay?

I’m 16 about 5′2 and 122lbs…My goal is to go back to my old weight which was 100…I want to lose 10lbs per month. Is that too much?
Can I lose 10 labs with my current diet and exercise.
What I’m doing so far is..
1. Before I go speed walking on my treadmill for 60Min’s I drink about 2-3glasses of water and eat a boiled egg..
2. After 60 Min’s of speed walking I drink about 2glasses of cold water and have some fruits..Like an apple and mango or something
3. 2hours later I eat some nuts or whatever and drink like 3glasses of water.
4. Later on I would eat a small dinner…Mostly cooked veggies and fish, chicken or beef. I’ll wait about an hour or sometimes less and then I would go in my basement and just kinda speed walk for about an hour.
5. AFter that drink more water and eat a fruit, veggie or sometimes some whole wheat cereals
If I get hungry I just eat more raw fruits and veggies and drink more water.

With what I’m doing right now can I lose 10pounds in one month?
Do I need to eat more or less? Oh yea school is starting so I won’t be able to workout in the morning. I’ll have to do it around 3 in the afternoon.. is that fine?

is it better to do 30mins on the treadmill, mostly at 7/7.5 mph everyother day
or
15 mins but at around 5-6mph everyday

Right now, I usually do an 8-minute warm up on an incline of 8 on treadmill at 3.5mph. Then, I stop and do some weight machines. Then, I come back and do 1 mile as fast as I can, running, and then 30 minutes on eliptical.

Sometimes less.

What do you do?
