Open Question: lose weight with fruits?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

I have lost a little over 50 pounds by eating good and exercising but I am at a plateau and not sure what to do. Would eating just fruits be ok to do? I’m going on vacation and I hope to lose these last 20 pounds by October 19th. Any advice if the fruits idea isnt good? I do the iFit workouts that came with my treadmill..its just a little card that goes in this area on the treadmill and is a programmed workout but I like it a lot it has different levels and stuff so I think its good for losing weight

Resolved Question: Gaining Weight and Muscle?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Hi I am a 5′10 guy who weighs 125 lbs. I know I am skinny but I recently started working out 4 times a week. I do treadmill an hour before I do a total body workout with dumbbells. I then take a protein shake after working out. How should I be eating and should I do low weight high reps or higher weight low reps? Serious and resourceful answers please!

Open Question: I want to start working out, but I’m not sure how much is too much..?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

I was thinking a one hour jog on the treadmill at 5mph.. And a set of as many sit-ups & push-ups as I could possibly do. Would doing this day after day get me really burned out, or would it eventually get me in shape and feeling good? (running/push-ups & sit-ups are the only workout routines I know heheh)

Resolved Question: eat and workout? vise versa?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

tomorrow I work 2 swifts, & I have two hours in between. I work at the ymca so I have plenty of things to keep me occupied. I plan on eating lunch/dinner sometime in the 2 hours(2-4pm)
I’m bringing some a container of rice to make and a blt salad lemonade from wendys. I also want to work out for a bit also. I don’t know what I should do first… eat or workout…. or eat some rice, workout, then eat the salad? I don’t know what’s best for me. also how long should I work out? I usually do the treadmill for 20 and just play around with the exercice ball and other machines for about 20 minutes. how long should I work on my abs, or how many crunches/ sit-ups are average.

I’ve been working out for the past 2 weeks and I haven’t been sore AT ALL, even when I just started working out. am I not working hard enough?

Open Question: I don’t know how to include Skipping Rope into my workout routine.?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

On day 1, I workout my entire Upper Body, day 2 I take a break, day 3 I workout my whole lower body, and day 4 I also rest. My workout cycle repeats itself like that.

Every time I workout, I go on the treadmill, but I’m want to replace the treadmill with skipping because I want to improve on my sprinting. (Skipping helps with sprinting) Can anyone tell me what day(s) I should include skipping in my routine. (besides day 2, and 4 besides I can’t access gym) I know I should always warm up, but I also need to know whether to skip intensely just after I lift weights, or when I finish. Thanks in advance.
