Open Question: I don’t know how to include Skipping Rope into my workout routine.?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

On day 1, I workout my entire Upper Body, day 2 I take a break, day 3 I workout my whole lower body, and day 4 I also rest. My workout cycle repeats itself like that.

Every time I workout, I go on the treadmill, but I’m want to replace the treadmill with skipping because I want to improve on my sprinting. (Skipping helps with sprinting) Can anyone tell me what day(s) I should include skipping in my routine. (besides day 2, and 4 besides I can’t access gym) I know I should always warm up, but I also need to know whether to skip intensely just after I lift weights, or when I finish. Thanks in advance.

Open Question: Avoiding a workout Plateau?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

I don’t have much time out of work to exercise, so I work out at work. There aren’t many choices for equipment, there are treadmils and 1 elliptical machine. Plus free weights. My question is if I vary my routine will I still hit a plateau? I plan on doing different workouts on the treadmill and using the elliptical machine.

Open Question: How to start talking to a girl?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

I go to a gym 6 days a week. Recently, there has been a girl that has been coming to the gym about 4 days a week. She is really attractive and seems like she would make a nice girlfriend. I always see her on the treadmill or cross trainer or in the weight room. I’ve been next to her many times on workout machines, but I just can’t think of anything to say to “break the ice.” How do I start a conversation in this position?

Open Question: Is this a good workout and way to loose weight?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

I am 14, weighing 165 pounds. I go to the YMCA, first thing I do is 15 minutes on the treadmill going 4 mph with an elevation of 4 (I lose around 100 calories). I then go swimming for 30 minutes doing 30 lengths on front crawl. I go to the gym 3 times a week. This is my routine. Also I have cut out all junk food and pop, besides Arizona Green Tea (so good). I also drink 2 liters of water a day. I get 7 hours of sleep. Is this a good way to help me lose weight? What else can you suggest to help me loose weight.

Open Question: What is an easy way to build muscle in just 4 weeks?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

I’m 130 pounds and 5′11 looking to bulk up without the use of protein shakes/steroids. I’m on a tight budget so a gym membership is not an option. I have a treadmill two 5lb (2.4kg) weights and a skipping rope. Workouts under 45 minutes are preferred.

Open Question: What is the best workout and diet to tone up fast?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

I am 30 years old, 5′5″ and 110 pounds. The only workout routine I have ever really done is cardio stuff like running, exercise bike, walking on treadmill, etc. and sit-ups. I have never dieted but try to eat healthy for the most part…lots of salads, fruit, yogurt, vegetables, and calorie free beverages. I just started weight training but only do squats, lunges, bench press, and curls. I am not interested in losing weight, but I do want to get more defined and sculpted muscles. What exercises should I be doing more of, and what foods should I eat regularly to see the quickest results? Thanks for your help!

Open Question: I need a work out routine before bed (for male)?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Hi, I’m going to start working out more for a better looking bod and to be a bit stronger. So, I have decided to work out every night. I want an easy gradual workout that will take a maximum of 10 minutes. I especially want to develop better abs. I want a workout that will work more of my muscles then the one I am doing now. I don’t want to use too many tools and weights but I believe I should incorporate some into my workout. I will not do any work involving machines such as treadmills and such. I am more of developing strength than burning calories. Could someone please prescribe a routine for me to do?

So far I am doing as many push ups in 1 minute as I can and crunches in 2 minutes. I can do 30-35 push ups and 50 crunches in those time limits. These numbers put me to my limit. I am exhausted after these.

If you can, would you also include a website showing how to do these different workout things.

Information about myself.
I am about 5′ 6″ and 136 Lb. I am under 16 and do not have a complete adult body. As far as BMI, I am very normal, and I am not looking to lose weight. I am expecting to weigh more because muscle weighs more then fat.
