Open Question: what is it with me and this running? a definite 10 points to the best answer here!?
Tuesday, August 19th, 2008I’ve been staying in hotels for the past 10 days on college visits, and so I had been using the fitness centers to do a running workout on the treadmills. I never dreaded it at ALL and I would just go and go until I had burned about 600 calories! I almost looked forward to it.
Now that I’m back home and having to run outside, I HATE it. Yesterday was my first day back home and I had planned to run but ended up doing an exercise video instead because I didn’t want to run so badly. I don’t have time to run this morning because of work but I’m DREADING getting outside and running when I get home this afternoon. I’m thinking maybe I should purchase a treadmill? I found one at Sears for around $400. It’s very basic, but that’s all I need. Something that goes up to around 8 MPH and a 10 degree incline. This would be a wise investment wouldn’t it? Then I also wouldn’t have to worry about running in the dark before school in the mornings.
Until then, any advice for getting over this running hump? I’m worried if I do other things that I won’t burn as much and that I’ll gain weight.
