I am pretty sure i have stunted my growth, i have been working out to much and may have caused harm to my chest and my abs.

I am thinking of starting a fat loss workout which would consist of more reps and more cardio (and i am going to do muscle building in the legs).

Anyway, is it alright to do a 3-day thing, where i would do basically be

Day 1

wall sits, squats, 20 minutes high resistance to build muscle

Day 2

30 minutes on treadmill , swim 45 minutes

Day 3

Whole body - pushups, planks, close pushups, wall sits, bicep curls, lat pulldowns

25 minutes bike

i have hockey on every other day pretty much. Is this alright to do this workout?

Is there anything i can do to boost my growth, like a supplement (that’s safe) or an exercise?

Basically 2 questions:

1) Is it safe to do a fat loss/definition workout?

2) Is there anything i can do to boost my growth ( i.e. supplement, exercise) ?

I am 13 by the way 5′2 , and my dad is 6′7 my mom is 5′8, my 14 yo bro is 6′0

Not looking for any preaching about how i shouldnt worry about it and how it is normal.

hey well this is my dads account btw so dont think ehs being gay haha anyway

so i am really lazy, although i do enjoy going to the gym. since im 17 and i dont really work when i go to school i dont have money for the gym and i absolutely HATE jogging outside (with exception for treadmills). also i have a very bad diet, and weirdly im still skinny but i guess it wont be too long till i get fat. i eat around 4-5 mc Donalds a week… so if anyone could list a workout and strict diet plan then i would be a fixed person.

Open Question: Will I lose more weight if I exercise in higher temperatures?

Would my workout be more effective if I, say, ran outside in the heat (making sure I’m plenty hydrated, of course) as opposed to running on a treadmill in an air conditioned gym? Does sweating more mean more weight lost?

Recently my husband and I have noticed he has lost a HUGE amount of weight. 6 months ago he was rather large, and now he has lost roughly 40lbs/18kilo (he is 168cm). My concern is that he hasn’t stopped in eating, and isn’t trying to diet. Infact, with how he eats he should really be gaining weight. He eats a TON of food. I am worried that something really bad is happening to him and he just doesn’t want to tell me/accept the possibility there is something wrong. He won’t go to see a doctor about it either.

As hints to his health:
~He is an alcoholic (even though he drinks a lot, it doesn’t alter his mood much so I never get on his case about it)
~He eats a lot!
~He doesn’t exercise, I think I got him on a treadmill for about 2 minutes before he decided he hated workout machines.
~He is in his mid 50s
~He doesn’t sleep normally. He constantly travels for business and work related reasons, and can never sleep more than 3 hours at a time.
~Only recently he started getting hangovers and vomiting from his drinking habits, which is also about the same time his weight loss started to happen.

I know you all aren’t doctors, but if anyone knows any information at all regarding this type of problem, a little insight would be appreciated.

Ok, well i weigh roughly 127 lbs and I want to look good for school, which is next week. Lol. I know that I can look the way I want by next week, but still. I’m trying to eat healthier and drink lots of water. Can anyone give me more workout routines (mine is posted below) or really good tasting healthy food. I’m going to Wal Mart tonight. Lol. Thanks a bunch. :]]

Sunday: Self defense for an hour.

Monday, Butt: Wall Squat, 30 sec, 10 reps; Side Lunge, 15 per leg; Plie Squat, hold 3 sec, 15 reps.

Tuesday, Body: Total Push-Up, 3 sets of 5; Superwoman, hold 30 sec, 3 times; Bridge, hold 1 min, 2 times; Accordion Crunch, 3 sets of 5.

Wednesday, Abs: Cross Knee Lifts, 20 reps; Leg Lifts, 6 reps; Knee-to-Elbow Lifts, 15 on each side; Curl Ups, 12 reps.

Thurday, Body: Walk Lunge, 20 steps each leg; Kitchen Counter Push-Up, do 20; Reverse Crunch, 20 times.

Friday, Upper Body: Biceps Curl, 3 sets of 15 on each arm; Double Wide Push-Up, 3 sets of 10 alternating reps (5 on each side); Triple Threat, 3 sets of 15; Pilates Abs and Shoulder, do 3 sets of 15 (alternating sides); Swimmers Shoulders, repeat 3 sets of 15.

Saturday: Rest.

Every other weekday: 1 mile on the treadmill.

I’m 35 and trying to lose the spare tire. I’ve been working out for about 3 years now. I go to the gym 3 to 5 times a week. Each workout I start out with 30 minutes of Cardio, then I either work strength exercises on upper body or lower body. The strength exericies I alternate days for upper and lower.

I’ve gained wait, I’m assuming from the lifting of weights.

I cannot get rid of the ol’ gut. I read to burn fat, it’s better to due cardio machines at a lower intesity. I’ve been doing them at an Aerobic intensity since it appears to burn more calories. Will the Aerobic not burn fat? I generally use the Ellyptical but I sometimes use the treadmill or stairmaster.

Also,it is a good practice to take protein bars after a workout. That is what I’ve been doing.
If aerboic exersise burns muscle, am I negating my weight training by doing aerobic cardio?
if it’s true that fat burns after 30 mins of cardio, then is it best to change my routine in order to gain muscle and lose fat to alternate days of Cardio for 45 minutes (no lifting), 5 minute warm up lift upper and abs, 45 minute cardio (no lifting), 5 minute warm up lower and abs, etc….

Open Question: what would be better for a whole body workout - treadmill or rowing machine ?

I’m gonna run as much as I can (7-8.5) mph then go down to a walk (3.5mph) until I can run again. I will record my calories burned and improve every workout how long until I see results I’m 16 5′6 190 wanna get down to 170 changed my diet already have been working out doing weights and a mile 4 days a week. Have muscle but its covered with fat until I flex. I’m not really fat more solid than anything.
How long should I wait to see results and if none occur what else should I try.( I have plenty of time to workout I’m home schooled and don’t leave very often any tips will help) (Also have stopped weight tranning to focus on fat loss using the treadmill) ASAP
