Open Question: What am I doing wrong as far as burning more fat?
I have been on a diet/workout for a month now. I am 5′4″ and weighed in at 135.7 pounds one month ago. I wanted to lose some fat and tone up. I am a vegetarian and went to a strictly veggies and fruit diet (basically a vegan diet), I workout 5 to 6 days a week. I have arthritis in my knees and hips, so my work out goes as is: I speed walk either a mile or two miles uphill on a treadmill at 3.5 incline and 3.5 speed. Or I will split it up and jog a mile on a 1 incline, and speed walk the other mile on a 3.5 incline. Each workout is about 45 min to 1 hour. I work up a pretty good sweat, and I have noticed my legs have toned up slightly. I also do 4 reps of 15 sit ups each day. But as far as losing my fat (in the hips, stomach and thighs), I haven’t seen much. In one month exactly I have only lost 2.3 pounds. Today, I have a body fat % of 27.9 and BMI of 22.9% and now weigh 133.4 lbs. I would think after 1 month I would see better results. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions? I did order Turbo Jam and should get that this week to try out. But generally, what can I do to burn more fat efficiently?
